Professional Bio
Dr. Klint Peebles is a board-certified dermatologist with Kaiser Permanente, Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, practicing in Washington, D.C. and suburban Maryland.
Originally from rural Mississippi, Dr. Peebles graduated from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science before earning a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience with highest honors and a minor in Mandarin Chinese language and culture from Vanderbilt University. He graduated summa cum laude, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and went on to receive his medical degree from Vanderbilt, where he earned the Dean’s Award and membership in Alpha Omega Alpha. After completing a preliminary year in internal medicine at Vanderbilt, he trained in dermatology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, serving as chief resident before joining the faculty with a focus on complex medical and inpatient consultative dermatology, later relocating to Washington, DC.
Within the American Academy of Dermatology, he has served on numerous councils, committees, and task forces, chairing several. In the Medical Society of the District of Columbia, he is President-Elect, chairs the Advocacy Committee, serves on the Board of Directors, and leads the Federal Policy Task Force. Nationally, he has represented dermatology as a delegate to the American Medical Association since residency, was recently elected Chair of the AMA Dermatology Section Council, and was appointed to the AMA Task Force on Preserving the Patient-Physician Relationship.
Dr. Peebles specializes in complex medical dermatology with particular emphasis on autoimmune disease, anogenital dermatology (especially HPV and anal dysplasia), and gender and sexual minority dermatology. He is the past Chair of the AAD Expert Resource Group on LGBTQ/SGM Health in Dermatology and currently serves as vice chair on the governing council of the AMA LGBTQ Section.
