Professional Bio
I grew up in Canton, Michigan as the youngest of five children. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University. Prior to starting medical school I volunteered at homeless shelters and hospitals, served as a Crisis Counselor, and worked as a Medical Assistant. Since starting at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU CHM), I have served as the Student Council Vice President, an Admission’s Ambassador, and the Health Policy Legislative Chair of the MSU CHM chapter of the Student National Medical Association. I am concurrently enrolled in the Medical Partners in Public Health Certificate Program, which is equipping me with the knowledge to combat social factors impacting the health of a community.
