Dr. Avery LaChance graduated from Middlebury College and received her MD, MPH from University of Connecticut School of Medicine. During her MPH year, she successfully advocated for state legislation to ban indoor tanning for minors. She completed an internship at the Office of the Surgeon General where she worked on federal skin cancer prevention initiatives. Subsequently, she trained at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program and served as chief resident. Dr. LaChance is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology and New England Dermatological Society and has served as a member of several health policy focused committees of the AAD.
