Seemal R. Desai, MD, FAAD
President, Medical Director, Innovative Dermatology
Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology, UT Southwestern

Dr. Seemal Desai is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and a Board Certified Dermatologist. He graduated with honors from Emory University. He received his medical training at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Magna Cum Laude with honors. Following medical school, Dr. Desai completed his dermatology residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Desai has been active on a local, state, and national level with numerous medical organizations, and is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. He is the Founder & Medical Director of Innovative Dermatology, a state-of-the-art private practice in the Dallas area, and also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Desai is a Past President of the Skin of Color Society and currently serves as AAD President-Elect. Upon assuming the Presidency of AAD in 2024, Dr. Desai will be the youngest dermatologist to serve in that capacity.

Amy J. McMichael, MD, FAAD
Professor of Dermatology
Wake Forest University School of Medicine

Dr. McMichael is a Philadelphia native who received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed Internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and her Dermatology residency training at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Amy McMichael, MD has been a faculty member at Wake Forest Baptist Medical center since 1994. She is currently Professor of the Department of Dermatology at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She also served as the Residency Director of the department for 12 years. Dr. McMichael’s clinical and research interests include: hair and scalp disorders and skin of color. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a past Chair of the Skin of Color Society and the National Medical Association Dermatology Section. She has served as Vice President of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and Secretary/Treasurer of the North American Alopecia Research Society. She currently serves as a member of the Board of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is co-editor of the text Hair Diseases: Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Treatments, Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology, serves on the editorial boards of JAMA Derm, Cosmetic Dermatology and The Dermatologist, and is the author of numerous journal articles and chapters. She is also an active member of the Greensboro Medical Society.

Jorge Ocampo-Candiani, MD, PhD, IFAAD
Chairman, Dermatology Department, University of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico
President World Congress of Dermatology WCD Guadalajara 2027

Dr. Jorge Ocampo-Candiani is the Chairman of the Dermatology Department at the University of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico, and the President of the World Congress of Dermatology in Guadalajara 2027. A former President of the Ibero-Latinamerican College of Dermatology (CILAD), he is an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and has received a Presidential Citation. As the Executive Vice-President of the International Society of Dermatology (ISD) and a Board Member of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS), he plays a key role in shaping global dermatological standards. Dr. Ocampo-Candiani is also a member of prestigious academies, including the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the Mexican Academy of Surgery, and the National Academy of Medicine.

Jennifer Soung, MD, FAAD

Dr. Jennifer Soung is a board certified dermatologist and the director of clinical research at Southern California Dermatology in Santa Ana, CA. Dr. Soung is an expert in medical dermatology and clinical research focusing on chronic autoimmune skin diseases. She is on Clinical Faculty at Harbor University of California, Los Angeles and on the medical board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. Neelam Vashi, MD, FAAD Associate Professor of Dermatology Boston University School of Medicine Founder and Director, Center for Ethnic Skin Director, Cosmetic and Laser Center Dr. Neelam A. Vashi, FAAD, is a highly accomplished board-certified dermatologist and the Director of the Boston University Cosmetic and Laser Center. As the Founding Director of the Boston University Center for Ethnic Skin and an Associate Professor of Dermatology, she holds a prominent role at the Boston University School of Medicine. With a medical degree from Northwestern University and dermatology residency at NYU, Dr. Vashi is a recognized leader in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Her extensive contributions include authoring four textbooks, numerous peer-reviewed publications, and active involvement in national and international dermatology meetings. As a key opinion leader, she has been featured in various media outlets and has received accolades for top-ranked articles in prestigious journals. Dr. Vashi's dedication extends to serving on the boards of the Skin of Color Society and the Association of Academic Cosmetic Dermatologists, contributing to dermatological education at Boston University.
