Dr. E. Nikki Pritchett is an Associate Professor and Director of Medical Student Education in the Department of Dermatology at Howard University College of Medicine. She is also a Co-chair of the National and International Committee for the Skin of Color Society. She has an interest in health equity and serves as a Co-Chair of the Diversity Champion Workshop for the AAD, Co-Director of the AAD Diversity, Equity and inclusion Symposium and is a member of the Diversity Initiatives Workgroup of the AAD Leadership Development Steering Committee. She has published on topics regarding the importance of diversity in dermatology.

Dr. Candrice R. Heath is triple board-certified in Dermatology, Pediatrics  and Pediatric Dermatology. She received her  undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and medical degree from the University of Virginia. She  completed pediatric training  at Emory University, two dermatology clinical research fellowships, dermatology training at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt and a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.  

Dr. Heath is a nationally-recognized  speaker and holds a variety of leadership roles in organized medicine including Secretary-Treasurer for the Skin of Color Society. When Dr. Heath is not seeing patients, speaking, on Zoom calls or posting on social media, she enjoys spending time with her new husband and bonus daughter.

Dr. Olayemi Sokumbi is board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. She received her medical degree from Mayo Medical School, where she also completed her preliminary year in internal medicine, her residency in dermatology and served as chief resident. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Sokumbi’s clinical and research interests include clinical-pathologic correlation of complex inflammatory skin disorders, quality improvement in dermatopathology, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous lymphoproliferative disorders, and the development and assessment of deep neural network algorithms for diagnosis and image classification in dermatology and dermatopathology.

Michael Waul, MD, FAAD

Dr. Michael Waul is a former chief resident and current assistant professor as well as associate residency program director in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is a native of Jamaica and a graduate of Harvard Medical School. His academic interests include: medical student and resident education; dermatologic care for patients with skin of color; and diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism within the field of dermatology.
