Sybol Anderson, PhD
 is Director of Diversity in Research Programs at National Medical Fellowships (NMF), where she leads innovative initiatives to promote equity in clinical research. A social and political philosopher by training, she brings to her work deep insight into contemporary challenges of inclusive community development. This has been her passion and a central part of her career for nearly 20 years.

THE EHR AS TOOL TO PROMOTE CLINICAL TRIALS DIVERSITY

Tesheia H. JohnsonTesheia H. Johnson, MBA, MHS is Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of YCCI and the Director for Clinical Research for Yale School of Medicine, where she provides leadership and direction in clinical research. Her career has focused on developing clinical research programs and support infrastructure. She is the co-founder of the Yale Cultural Ambassadors program, launched more than ten years ago with a mission to catalyze the sustainable advancement of patient diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical research. Before assuming her current position, she was Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and Director of Clinical Trials at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has served as a consultant for several academic centers interested in establishing clinical research programs and as a grant reviewer for the National Institutes of Health. Ms. Johnson is nationally recognized for her expertise in designing and setting clinical research programs.

Fabian SandovalFabian Sandoval, MD, President & CEO of Emerson Clinical Research Institute, has more than 25 years of bench to bedside research experience. His diversified research career has been in academia, healthcare systems, and the public sector. He received his Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology from Marymount University, and his Doctorate of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, School of Medicine. Before opening the doors to Emerson Clinical Research Institute (ECRI), Dr. Sandoval’s research activities included bench research at the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and NIH. He has since started the Emerson Community Clinic, in order to support uninsured patients across the DC metro area, as well as starting the Emerson DiversityHealth Foundation, whose mission is to educate patients and providers on the importance of participating in clinical research and access to care

Betsey Zbyszynski 
has over 25 years of experience in the clinical research industry, with 18 of those dedicated to Dermatology. She began her career as a clinical research coordinator and has since worked in all facets of the industry – from clinical monitoring and project management to strategic development. She joined Vial as the Head of Clinical Operations and brings a plethora of industry knowledge and relationship building to continue Vial’s success.
