Maureen Offiah, MD, MBA
Dr. Maureen Offiah is a board-certified dermatologist practicing at Dermatology-West of the Hattiesburg Clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is also an Affiliate Professor, Department of Dermatology, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, where she trains dermatology residents and medical students in dermatologic surgery at the VA Medical Center.
Dr. Offiah received her MD from the University of Mississippi, School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at the UMMC, where she served as chief resident. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where she graduated with High Honors, in addition to an MBA.
Dr. Offiah is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Skin of Color Society, where she serves as a medical student mentor and on the public education committee, Women’s Dermatologic Society, National Psoriasis Foundation among others. She is affiliated with Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation and National Eczema Association.
She has received several honors including the UMMC Department of Dermatology Strength of Character Award and the Alpha Omega Alpha Resident Teacher of the Year. She has authored research papers and contributed to textbook chapters and serves as member/contributor on the DermWorld Editorial Advisory Workgroup. She is an invited speaker both nationally and internationally.
