Professional Bio

Dr. Aisha Sethi is a board-certified dermatologist who completed her post-doctoral fellowship, internship, and residency in dermatology at Yale University where she also served as chief resident. She remains connected to Yale University today, serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Yale Dermatology Global Health Program.

Dr. Sethi enjoys helping patients with skin conditions and has a special interest in incorporating a more holistic approach to her practice when applicable. She spent over a decade of her career at the University of Chicago, where she was the Director of Outreach for the Center for Global Health, and the Dermatology Residency Program Director.

Dr. Sethi’s passion for volunteerism has led her to dermatologic related field work all over the world. She is passionate about addressing global access to medical care, medical diplomacy programs, and improving medical training and dermatologic therapies. In 2010, Dr. Sethi was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the White House Council on Service and Civic Participation for her volunteer efforts. Her work and expertise in dermatology has been featured in various media outlets. Dr. Sethi was chosen as an emerging leader by the Chicago Council for Global Affairs Emerging Leaders fellowship program. She served as a member of the Education and Volunteers Abroad Committee and Volunteerism Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology, Chair of the Community Dermatology Committee of the ISD, the International Affairs Committee of the Women’s Dermatological Society, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Society of Dermatology’s newsletter.
She is a leader in global health dermatology and tropical dermatological diseases. She also has a special interest in access to care advocacy, innovative therapeutics, addressing dermatologic issues in migrant health care and underserved populations.
